Abstract

Stroke is a rapid development caused by focal and global disturbances of brain function. Stroke is divided into two based on pathological abnormalities, namely hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke. Subarachnoid hemorrhage is a condition of bleeding into the subarachnoid space. Subarachnoid hemorrhage causes high mortality and morbidity. This is what makes researchers want to conduct research on subarachnoid hemorrhage at RSUP Muhammad Hoesin Palembang. This study is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. The sample used in this study were all patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage at RSUP Muhammad Hoesin Palembang in 2018-2021. This study used 134 medical records of inpatients at RSUP Muhammad Hoesin Palembang with a diagnosis of subarachnoid hemorrhage. The results showed that 66 patients had the exclusion criteria followed by 68 patients met the inclusion criteria and became research subjects. The highest frequency was based on demographic factors in the age category 50-60 years 27 patients (40.5%) with woman 42 patients (61%), based on hypertension risk factors 51 patients (75%) and smoking history 12 patients (18 %), based on clinical factors, the main complaint was decreased consciousness 33 patients (49.5%) with onset >24 hours 37 patients (53.5%) followed by grade IV on the Hunt and Hess scale 38 patients (57%), based on management operative 39 patients (56.5%), and clinical outcome of survival 43 patients (64.5%).
