Abstract

The study aimed to prove the effect of pair check learning model on students learning results in economic subject in State Senior High School 1 Tanjung Raja. This was experimental study that used true experimental design and post-test only design study design. The population of this study were all of 11th grade social sciences students in State Senior High School 1 Tanjung Raja. The sample used cluster random sampling and the selected sample were second 11th grade social sciences with a total of 28 students as experimental grade and fourth 11th grade social sciences with a total of 25 students as control grade. The data were collected by test and observation. Data analysis techniques used to determine learning results by using post-test and observation data to see the syntax of the learning model. As well as prerequisite tests used data normality tests and data homogeneity tests. The hypothesis used parametric statistics, namely the t-test with the polled variance formula and it was obtained t_(counted )≥〖 t〗_table , 65.142 ≥ 1.707 so Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, Thus, it could be concluded that there was the effect of pair check learning model on students learning results in economic subject in State Senior High School 1 Tanjung Raja. It is recommended in applying the pair check learning model, the teachers keep an eye on and help students in answering questions so they don't always ask their partners about the given questions and the students can focus on answering the questions, then when it’s the material reinforcment, the students can actively participate in delivering the study material.
