Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menetapkan lama perendaman media tanaman seledri dalam larutan nutrisi dengan hidroponik Ebb and Flow. dilaksanakan di rumah kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya yang berlokasi Penelitian ini di Indralaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir mulai bulan Juni sampai dengan bulan Juli 2004. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode percobaan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan, yaitu lama perendaman (5, 10 dan 15 menit) masing-masing dibuat sebanyak 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa perlakuan lama perendaman dengan hidroponik ebb and flow berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat kering dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat basah tanaman seledri. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada lama perendaman 15 menit yang menghasilkan berat basah tanaman paling tinggi yaitu 26,770 gram dan berat kering tanaman 2,850 gram dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lama perendaman 10 dan 5 menit.
