Abstract

Pearl oyster (.Pinctada maxima) is Invertebrate Mollusca. Growing of pearl oyster is influenced by physics factor, Chemical factor, biology factor and ecology factor. Marine Coastal area Banglca-Belitung island has a potential area, which the have not been expanded. One of culturing effort that give advantages and have been expanded at Bangka-Belitung island is pearl oyster culturing. This research is purposed to know about space acceptable for pearl oyster culturing, and value of survival rate at Bangka-Belitung archipelago, exactly at marine Coastal area of Bird island. Amazing of physics factor, and Chemical factor that support study about space acceptable for pearl oyster culturing at Bird island Regency of South Bangka. This research have been done on 29 March 2009 until 29 May 2009. research location at Coastal area of Bird island Bangka-Belitung archipelago. Method that’s used at research is purposive random sampling method is Method to point station randomly with choosing area that represent as research place. Regression analysis is done for knowing effect of increasing DVM and APM growing rate. About growing of pearl oyster weight rate ( Pinctada maximd). Result of research indicate that Bengkoang Bay as habitat that appropriate for pearl oyster (Pinctada maxima). Survival rate of pearl at first long line, second long line, and the third 100%. Increasing of weight at first long line, second long line and third long as research are 78 gram, 83 gram, and 67 gram. Growing both of APM and DVM at first long line is 1,87 and 2,1 cm. Growing both of APM and DVM at second long line are 1,63 cm and 2,1 cm. Both growing of APM and DVM at third long line 1,85 cm and 2,17 cm.
