Abstract

This study aims to examine the performance of a lawn mower carrying a brush cutter into a portble mini cultivator machine in sharing weeds. The research will have been carried out in the Agriculture Technology Department Workshop, Faculty and Land Field, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya campus, South Sumatra on January to completion. Testing the machine for portable mini cultivators was carried out on the land of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research method that will be used is a Non Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with one research factor, namely on various weeds. Each treatment was repeated three times. The parameters of this study are the calculation of actual effective capacity, fuel consumption, and weed weeding efficiency. The results of this study indicate that the treatment of the actual effective capacity value of various weeds is 71.60 m2/hour to 225.92 m2/hour. The highest effective capacity value in A2 is bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides) with a value of 283.89 m2/hour and the lowest on A3, which is a grade. The actual effective capacity is influenced by the number of weeds in the field, soil density and machine operation, the lowest value for fuel consumption in A2 is bandotan with a value of 0.004 liter/m2 and the most on A3, which is a value of 0.018 liters/m2 and the highest weed weeds for fuel consumption is 0.015 liters / m2, and the lowest value of weed weeding efficiency is A1 with a value of 94% while the highest value is in A2 with a value of 98.8%.
