Abstract

Research on sound detection clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) hydroacustic method has been done in June 2011 to January 2012 in the laboratory of remote sensing, acouslics, and Instrumentation Marine and Oceanographic Laboratory Marine Science Program. The purpose of the study was to detect the characteristic sounds clovvn fish laboratory scale. Sounding passive method used to record sound produced vvhen fish feeding period such as before eating, during eating, and after eating in fish singles, pairs, and in groups (3-4 fishs). The results showed that frequency of pulses detected clown fish meal period is 173-785 Hz. The longest pulse frequency range after eating that is produced when 205 Hz - 785 Hz. Frequency range of the shortest pulses generated vvhen not eaten in the 173 Hz - 668 Hz, and vvhile eating produce a range between 195 Hz - 696 Hz. The characteristic sound of a clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is to have the intensity range (-85) - (-31) dB and has a pulse duration range is 0.006 to 0.184 seconds. The longest span of intensity produced when eating fish at 1 fish, pulse duration and pulse longest produced when not eaten in 2 fishs.
