Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and map the distribution of N, P and K nutrient status in oil palm plantations, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This research was conducted from May to June 2021 at the Experimental Field of Oil Palm Gardens, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used is a detailed level survey method with direct observation with a total area of ± 43.38 Ha of research sites, the determination of the sampling location is done by themethod grid. The sample points consist of 12 where each sample point represents ± 3.5 Ha. Soil samples were taken at a depth of 30 cm from the soil surface layer. Analysis of total soil N-nutrients was carried out at the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. Analysis of P and K nutrients was carried out using an Upland soils test kit. The stages of activities in this research consist of: 1) Before work in the field, 2) During work in the field and 3) After work in the field. The results of the study are in the form of a map of the distribution of nutrient status N, P and K at the location of the research area which is expected to be a reference for fertilization and maintenance in the research area to be more effective in the future Keywords: Oil palm, Mapping, Nutrients N, P and K
