Abstract

Carbon stock on tree stand in the area of Palembang city forest will be the purpose of tliis research. ± 30 ha area of city forest in Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II has used for this research. This study was conducted among November 2012 until January 2013. Five plots of research has put purposively used as point of sampling area to take the sampling trees. Methods allometrik Katterings et al, (2001) is used as reference implementation of the research. The results showed that the bigger valve of biomass came ffom first plot that was 187,9 ton/ha and the smallest came from the third plot that was 48,0 ton/ha. The estimated of carbon stock stored on the tree stands in area research of SMB II that 1.380,9 tonC. was
