Abstract

The title of this research is the Management Strategy of Punti Kayu Nature Park in Palembang, the thesis of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sriwijaya University. This study discusses the strategy in managing the potential of tourism forests in the Punti Kayu Nature Park, Palembang. This management are the form of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling. This study involved 10 informants consisting of 7 main informants and 3 supporting informants. This study uses George Terry theory. This study qualitative designs. This study use case study strategies as research tools. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate the strategy of managing the Punti Kayu Palembang Nature Park in maintaining the potential of the existing tourism forest.
