Abstract

Penelitian tentang biomassa dan cadangan karbon bambu mayan (Gigantochloa robusta Kurz) telah dilakukkan pada bulan Maret sampai Juni 2014 di Hutan Bambu Kota Pagar Alam Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui biomassa dan cadangan karbon Gigantochloa robusta Kurz yang ada di Hutan Bambu Pagar Alam, Sumatera Selatan. Metode penelitan destruktif dengan pemilihan 5 titik pengamatan dilakukkan secara acak dengan melakukan pengundian sesuai jumlah rumpun Gigantochloa robusta Kurz di Hutan Bambu Kota Pagar Alam Utara, Sumatera Selatan. Biomassa dan cadangan karbon Gigantochloa robusta Kurz tertinggi pada rumpun I yaitu 97,60 ± 25,79 ton/ha dan 44,90 ± 11,86 ton/ha. Sedangkan yang terendah pada rumpun III yaitu 23,02 ± 2,00 ton/ha dan 10,59 ± 0,92 ton/ha. Total potensi biomassa 6.008.202,72 ± 552.074,64 ton/ha dengan total cadangan karbon sebesar 2.763.773,25 ± 253.954,33 ton/ha Gigantochloa robusta Kurz di Hutan Bambu di Kelurahan Curup Jare, Kota Pagar Alam Utara, Sumatera Selatan.
