Abstract

The study adsorption of Fe metal ion on humin is reported in this paper. Humin used as an adsorbent that can adsorb Fe metal ion. The purpose of research were determined effect adsorption of Fe metal ion on humin by varying contact time, concentration of Fe metal ion, pH, particles size and constant equilibrium model of Freundlich and adsorption behaviour of Fe metal ion. The analysis of residual Fe metal ion was determined using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results showed that the adsorption of Fe metal ion on humin increased with increasing contact time, concentration of Fe metal ion, pH and particle size. The optimum adsorption of humin on Fe metal ion obtained at 120 minutes, concentration of Fe metal ion 240 mg/L, pH 9 and particle size 100 mesh. The equilibrium constant model Freundlich (a) value is 0.7645.
