Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekuatan mekanik material ABS untuk aplikasi sudu turbin Turgo skala piko menggunakan metode simulasi. Simulasi kekuatan mekanik menggunakan software SOLIDWORKS. Selain itu, metode analitik digunakan untuk menentukan geometri turbin Turgo skala piko. Dari hasil Analitik, sudu turbin Turgo skala piko memiliki laju aliran 100 Newton (10 kg/s) dengan 18 jumlah sudu. Sedangkan dari hasil simulasi menggunakan solidworks. Semakin besar gaya yang diterima sudu turbin turgo, Von mises stress (MPa) material semakin naik, dimana nilai Von mises stress material sudu melebihi nilai maksimum yield strengthnya yaitu 31 Mpa. Dengan demikian, material ABS untuk menjadi bahan dasar sudu turbin turgo skala piko terindikasi tidak aman untuk gaya 100 Nm. Karenanya, pemanfaatan ABS sebagai sudu turbin turgo harus diaplikasikan di bawah 100 Nm. Kata Kunci : ABS, Solidwork, Turbin Turgo, Von misses Stress
