Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh laju alir dan waktu operasi pada konversi gas karbon dioksida menjadi metanol dengan metode reduksi elektrokimia menggunakan elektroliser multi-stack telah dilakukan. Persentase produk metanol diukur menggunakan methanol analyzer melalui variasi laju alir dan waktu operasi dengan analisis perhitungan berupa efisiensi faraday. Waktu operasi diukur menggunakan dua jenis stack yakni stack ganda dan multi-stack untuk membandingkan persentase produk metanol yang dihasilkan. Laju alir optimum yang didapatkan menggunakan stack ganda setelah pengukuran berada di 160 mL/menit dengan persentase metanol sebesar 39.30%. Waktu operasi optimum yang didapatkan setelah pengukuran berada di 8 jam dengan persentase metanol menggunakan stack ganda sebesar 42.62% dan multi-stack sebesar 45.369%. Perhitungan persentase efisiensi faraday dengan variasi laju alir optimum stack ganda didapatkan nilai sebesar 41.15%. Persentase efisiensi faraday dengan waktu operasi optimum stack ganda didapatkan sebesar 33.47%, sedangkan multi-stack didapatkan nilai sebesar 15.84%.
