Abstract

Coal is a combustible sedimentary rock, formed from plant remains that have been deposited for a long time and consists of the main elements carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and additional elements such as sulfur and nitrogen. PT Dizamatra Powerindo is a private company engaged in coal mining under the Diza Coal brand, this company is located in Kebur Village, West Merapi District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. The quality of coal at PT Dizamatra Powerindo is not uniform. Due to the difference in quality of coal, coal blending is carried out to improve the quality of low coal so that the selling price can increase. PT Dizamatra Powerindo has a pile of low quality coal of 17.000 tons in stockROM 4 with a GAR of 4.354 kcal/kg that has accumulated since August, so coal blending is carried out in September and October with a mixture of coal in stockROM 2 and stockROM 3, with an average average GAR 5.128 kcal/kg and 4.629 kcal/kg according to the parameters of coal quality and tonnage for the month. Coal quality test results obtained from coal blending between stockROM 2, stockROM 3 and stockROM 4, namely, total moisture (30,00%), ash (5,2%), total sulfur (0,78%), and GAR 4.689 Kcal /kg which is calculated using the trial and error method with Microsoft Excel software. The percentage of coal blending is 2 dumptrucks from stockROM 2, 9 dumptrucks from stockROM 3 and 1 dumptruck from stockROM 4. PT Dizamatra Powerindo's coal production in 1 day is 4.000 tons. So, in 1 day 15 coal blends are done, so that 17.000 tons of low-quality coal in stockROM 4 can be used up, it takes 773 blending times or takes approximately 51,5 days. The total selling price that will be obtained by the company, the result of this blending formula simulation is Rp. 268.950.477.116,19,-
