Abstract

Agricultural extension worker have the main task of providing information services and new insights to farmers. Agricultural instructor have the task of increasing agricultural productivity by holding a planting indeks 200. This study has the objectives to, 1) Knowing the performance of Field Agricultural Extension in Tanjung Temiang Village, Tanjung Raja Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District, 2) Knowing the behavior of rice farmers of the 200 cropping index program in Tanjung Temiang Village, Tanjung Raja Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District, 3) Analyzing the relationship between the performance of agricultural instructors on the behavior of rice farmers in the 200 cropping index program in Tanjung Temiang Village, Tanjung Raja subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District. The research method used is the survey method and the sampling method used is purposive sampling. The sample farmers used in this study were 35 farmers. For the first purpose, the performance of the field agricultural instructor, which consists of three indicators, namely preparation of extension, implementation of extension, evaluation and reporting of extension is included in the medium category with an average score of 34.40. For the second purpose, the behavior of rice farmers in the 200 cropping index program which consists of three indicators knowledge, attitude, and skills that have an average score total of 62.89 which is included in the medium category. For the third purpose, the correlation between the performance of the instructor and the behavior of rice farmers using the spearman rank correlation test, the results obtained that the Rs value of 0.000 is smaller than alpha 0.050, which means rejecting H0, where there is a relationship between the performance of the field agricultural instructor and its relationship with the behavior of rice farmers in the 200 cropping index program in Tanjung Temiang Village, Tanjung Raja Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District.
