Abstract

This study aims (1) to calculate the income of farmers who use alsintan and use manual labor in the land processing and harvesting process of rice farming in the Lebak swamp land in Kotadaro II Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) analyze the efficiency of lowland rice farming. Lebak swamp with manual labor and using Alsintan in Kotadaro II Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in Kotadaro II Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The determination of the location of this research is based on the consideration that rice production in Kotadaro II Village is still low in the hope of becoming the village of choice to be given assistance in the form of agricultural tools and machines in the context of the government's land optimization program. Data collection was carried out in December 2021. The method used in this study was a survey method. The sampling method of this study used a layered random method that was not balanced with the number of respondents, namely 70 respondents. Data collected using primary and secondary data. The results showed that (1) the average production cost of manual farmers' rice farming (Rp 7,317.396) was greater than that of alsintan farmers (Rp 7,057,803), (2) the average income of rice farming with manual farmers (Rp 7,149,270) smaller than the agricultural machinery farmers (Rp 9,727,196), (3) the efficiency of farming by allocative manual farmers, namely land area, seeds, urea fertilizer, pesticide 1 (rats), and efficient labor. Meanwhile, allocative farming efficiency by alsintan farmers, namely land area, urea fertilizer, pesticide 1 (rats), pesticide 2 (snails), herbicides, and labor is efficient.
