Abstract

This study examines “The phenomenon of brothers and sisters supporting in improving the self efficacy of sociology students in faculty of social and politics, sriwijaya university (Study on members of the sociology student association of sriwijaya university)”. The problem in this study focuses on sociology students, especially those who are gathered in the sociology student association of the sriwijaya university who seeks to increase self efficacy though the phenomenon of brothers and sisters supporting program. The method used in this study is a qualitative phenomenological method with the determination of informants using purposive techniques. Data collection techniques by means of observation, indepth interviews and documentation. This research is analyzed using social exchange theory proposed by George Casper Homans. The results of this study refer of description, the relationship and the impact of the brothers and sisters supporting program.
