Abstract

Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) is one of the medicinal plants used by the community to treat various diseases. Jackfruit leaves are thought to contain phenolic compounds that have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activities that can accelerate burn healing. This study aims to determine the total phenolic content of the fraction, the effect of giving the fraction, and determine the effective dose of the ethyl acetate fraction and the ethanol fraction in healing second-degree burns. The experimental animal treatment group consisted of a positive control group (Lanakeloid-E® cream), a negative control, a test group for the ethyl acetate fraction, and a test group for the ethanol fraction with three variations in doses (15, 30, and 45 mg/200gBW). Parameters observed included burn area, formation time and scabs release, and % recovery. Burns were made using an iron plate measuring 2x2x0.1 cm. Statistical analysis using SPSS program with one-way ANOVA test. The phenolic content contained in the ethyl acetate and ethanol fractions was 51 mg GAE/g and 36 mg GAE/g, respectively. There was no significant difference in the percentage reduction in burn area between positive control, ethyl acetate fraction treatment group, treatment group 2 and treatment 3, ethanol fraction (p>0.05). This shows that the ethyl acetat fraction and the ethanol fraction can accelerate the healing of burns. The results showed that the ethyl acetate fraction at a dose of 45 mg/200gBW was the best dose that could accelerate burn wound healing with 100% recovery for 12 days. This indicates that the ethyl acetate fraction provides the best effectiveness in accelerating the healing of second-degree burns. Keywords: Artocarpus heterophyllus, second-degree burn, phenolic, ethanolic fraction, ethyl acetate fraction Tanaman nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus) merupakan salah satu tanaman obat yang digunakan masyarakat untuk mengobati berbagai macam penyakit. Daun nangka diketahui mengandung senyawa fenolik yang memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan, antiinflamasi, dan antibakteri yang berpotensi mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar fenolik total fraksi dan pengaruh pemberian fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi etanol dalam penyembuhan luka bakar derajat II. Kelompok perlakuan hewan uji terdiri dari kelompok kontrol positif (krim Lanakeloid-E®), kontrol negatif, kelompok uji fraksi etil asetat dan kelompok uji fraksi etanol masing-masing 3 variasi dosis (15, 30, dan 45 mg/200gBB). Parameter yang diamati meliputi luas luka bakar, terbentuk dan lepasnya keropeng serta % recovery. Pembuatan luka bakar menggunakan plat besi panas berukuran 2x2x0,1 cm. Analisis statistik menggunakan program SPSS dengan uji one-way ANOVA. Kadar fenolik yang terkandung dalam fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi etanol berturut-turut sebesar 51 mg GAE/g dan 36 mg GAE/g. Persentase penurunan luas luka bakar kontrol positif terhadap kelompok perlakuan fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi etanol tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p>0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi etanol dapat mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi etil asetat dosis 45 mg/200gBB merupakan dosis terbaik yang berpotensi mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar dengan % recovery sebesar 100% selama 12 hari. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa fraksi etil asetat memberikan efektivitas terbaik dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar derajat II.
