Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases which is a health problem in Indonesia and even the world. Hypertension is one of the causes of a person's death, so hypertension is often called "the silent killer". Factors that cause hypertension are sodium and fat intake, physical activity, and sleep quality. Based on the results of the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, hypertension is a disease that is mostly experienced by the civil servant group, amounting to 36.91%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between nutrient intake, physical activity, and sleep quality with the incidence of hypertension in civil servants aged 24-54 years at LPMP Sumsel. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional study design. Respondents amounted to 52 people, the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Analysis of the data used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. This study showed that respondents had hypertension (44.2%), respondents consumed excess sodium intake (46.2%), excess fat intake (50.0%), light physical activity (46.2%), and sleep quality. bad (42.3%). Men tend to have hypertension (76.9%) than women. The results of the analysis stated that there was a significant relationship between age (p=0.017), sodium intake (p=0.001), fat intake (p=0.005), physical activity (p=0.030), and sleep quality (p=0.033) with the incidence of hypertension. . There was no relationship between gender (p=1,000) and education (p=0,599) with the incidence of hypertension. It is expected that workers will check and monitor blood pressure, and eat according to balanced nutrition guidelines, be diligent in doing physical activity and get adequate rest.
