Abstract

The need for food is an absolute need that must be fulfilled which related to the sustainability of human life. To meet this need, it is necessary to increase the yield of the agricultural sector. The potential of land use to meet the availability for food can be increased by optimizing a good irrigation network. This research narrowing and detailing the results of the optimal network design and also providing several options as an alternative to the value of the benefits of food production. Optimization is done with the help of a linear program by using the solver function in Microsoft Excel. The optimum irrigation planning for channel normalization has these following dimensions; the width of the bottom channel is 3 meter and the guard height is 85 cm the depth of the channel. Other supporting infrastructure is in the form of sliding sluice gates with a total of 2 pieces placed in secondary canals, 17 swan-neck sluice gates in tertiary locations and 21 pumps with a dimension of 6 inches planned to be placed in 19 locations. Optimization for increasing cropping intensity (IP) were carried out in Sumber Mulyo to obtain several alternatives that could be used; Alternative I with a patterm of Paddy – Paddy IP 200 with an income of IDR 59,400,000/ha/growing season. Alternative II with a pattern of Paddy – Paddy – Palawija (Maize) IP 300 pattern with an income of IDR 78,600,000/ha/growing season. Alternative III Income Optimization in Rice with Paddy – Paddy Patterns, the income is Rp. 143,280,000/ha/growing season. And Alternative IV Income Optimization in Rice with Paddy – Paddy – Palwajia (Maize) Patterns with income of IDR 162,480,000/ha/growing season. From the results obtained, the difference in the income of farmers when selling the results of the production of Dry Harvest Paddy Rice (GKP) into the form of rice production gains a profit of Rp. 83,880,000.
