Abstract

This study aims to describe the self concept of student who are isolated. This research method using qualitative approach case study type. Research collect data through interviews on the subject MS, peers, guidance and counseling teachers, subject teachers and homeroom and parents. The result showed that student MS tend to develop a negative sel concept in him. This is seen from aspect of self knowledge, confident in ability, open, adjustment and optimism. MS is a student who is less liked by his friends. MS includes students who are not smart at school, but they are known as student who are less attractivein terms of appearance, but likes to disparage others. MS including students who ask for less learning, he just likes lessons in the field memorize than counting, he is often lazy in doing the task given. He does not want to tell his problems to others, not easily familiar with others, not having many friend and often get into trouble with his friends at school. The development of his negative self concept is what makes him not liked by his friend so that MS becomes students who are isolated in school. Besides the development of this negative self concept also has an impact on the learning activities of MS in schools, because the learning motivation is low, the interest of learning decreases and there is no improvement in learning outcomes.
