Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “ Pengaruh Latihan Lempar Tangkap Medicine ball Terhadap Hasil Tolak Peluru Gaya Ortodok Siswa Putra Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palembang ” Rumus masalah penelitihan ini adalah apakah ada pengaruh latihan lempar tangkap bola medicine terhadap hasil tolak peluru gaya Ortodok siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palembang ?. Tujuan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh latihan lempar tangkap bola medicine terhadap hasil tolak peluru gaya Ortodok siswa putra kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Dan sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang yang diambil dari teknik random sampling dengan cara ordinal pairing yaitu sampel 15 orang siswa putra kelas VIII untuk kelompok kontrol tidak diberi perlakuan lempar tangkap bola Medicine, dan 15 siswa putra kelas VIII untuk kelompok eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan lemapr tangkap bola medicine. Data yang diambil berupa hasil tolak peluru siswa dari kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Hasil pretest rata-rata kelompok kontrol adalah 5,37 meter dan posttesi rata-rata kontrol 5,21 meter dengan rata-rata penurunan 0,16 meter. Hasil nilai pretest rata-rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 5,32 meter dan posttest rata-rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 5,63 meter dengan rata-rata peningkatan 0,31 meter (5,51%). Hal menunjukan bahwa latihan lempar tangkap medicine ball dapat meningkatkan hasil tolak peluru gaya Ortodok siswa putra kelas VTTI SMP Negeri 8 Palembang. Kata kunci: Medicel balU Tolak Teluru.
