Abstract

In general, the need for energy continues to increase in line with economic growth and lifestyle. Green building is the right effort to overcome the problem of depleting energy sources where the GREENSHIP standard is the main certification. To overcome the high energy use as well as the aspect of air comfort, an evaluation of the application of energy conservation and air comfort will be carried out in the Sriwijaya University Faculty of Computer Science building using the green building standard, namely the Greenship standard. The benefits of this research are implementing energy savings so that it can reduce the cost of energy use and also knowing the air quality which shows the achievement of points is influenced by the quality around the building of the Faculty of Computer Science, Sriwijaya University. The research method used is a literature study method with data collection techniques. This research was carried out by collecting primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the Faculty of Computer Science, Sriwijaya University got 14 out of 36 points with 38.8% energy conservation being fulfilled. And for the air comfort criteria, the Computer Science Faculty Building managed to get 6 out of 17 points with a percentage of 35.3%, so it can be said that the Computer Science Faculty Building has not implemented energy conservation and air comfort quality properly because the percentage of points earned has not reached the maximum points.
