Abstract

The vaccination program is a preventive measure taken by the Indonesian government to prevent and reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The government requires the public to carry out the Covid-19 vaccination as one of the Covid-19 control programs. However, the program received various responses from the community, one of which was the reluctance to vaccinate by some people in Indonesia. The method used in this research is quantitative with a cross sectional design and is carried out with a cross sectional study approach. Then the sampling in this study using non-probability sampling with the technique used is purposive sampling with the number of respondents as many as 99 people. Analysis of the data used in this study used univariate with frequency distribution, bivariate using chi-square and multivariate using multiple logistic regression. The results of this study show that the variables related to public reluctance to the Covid-19 vaccine are gender with p value 0.002, education with p value 0.038, occupation with p value 0.006, history of PTM with p value 0.001, knowledge with p value 0.012, and perception with p value 0.030. The variable most closely related to the public's reluctance to the Covid-19 vaccine is the history of non-communicable diseases (PTM) with a p value of 0.028. It is hoped that the government will focus on increasing public knowledge and trust in the Covid-19 vaccine through mass media messages and education about the Covid-19 vaccine by health workers.
