Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh perbandingan pakan tepung ampas tahu dengan tepung daun lamtoro (Leucaena glauca Bth.) terhadap pertumbuhan cacing tanah (lumbricus rubellus Hoffmeister). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan pakan tepung ampas tahu dengan tepung daun lamtoro yang paling baik untuk pertumbuhan cacing tanah. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan. P1 (100% tepung ampas tahu dan 0% tepung daun lamtoro), P2 (75% tepung ampas tahu dan 25% tepung daun lamtoro), P3 (50% tepung ampas tahu dan 50% tepung daun lamtoro), P4 (25% tepung ampas tahu dan 75% tepung daun lamtoro) dan P5 (0% tepung ampas tahu dan 100% tepung daun lamtoro). Cacing tanah yang digunakan adalah cacing tanah berumur 1 bulan. Parameter yang diamati adalah berat badan (g) cacing tanah. Data yang diperoleh telah dianalisis dengan uji F dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BJND. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata berat badan cacing tanah paling tinggi terdapat pada kelompok P3 = 0,48 g, kemudian P4, P5, P2 dan Pl, berturut-turut 0,43 g, 0,41 g, 0,37 g dan 0,33 g, serta pertambahan berat badan cacing tanah paling tinggi terdapat pada kelompok P3 = 0,42g, kemudian P4, P5, P2 dan Pl, berturut-turut 0,37 g, 0,35 g, 0,31 g dan 0,27 g. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pakan dengan kadar protein yang berbeda telah memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap parameter berat badan cacing tanah. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan materi pada pelajaran biologi di Sekolah Menengah Atas kelas X Semester I yang berhubungan dengan kompetensi dasar siswa mampu mendeskripsikan dan mengkomunikasikan ciri-ciri invertebrata dan peranannya bagi kehidupan.
