Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat alat pengaduk media tanam jamur tiram (Pleurotus sp.) tipe ulir. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kumbung Jamur Tiram Talang Buruk Palembang pada bulan Desember 2010 sampai Januari 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode perancangan alat, pembuatan alat dan pengujian alat. Parameter yang diamati yaitu keseragaman campuran bahan, bahan tertinggal, kapasitas alat dan kebutuhan daya listrik. Fungsi alat ini adalah untuk mengaduk media tanam jamur tiram (Pleurotus sp.) dengan menggunakan tenaga mekanis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keseragaman campuran bahan yang mendekati campuran awal bahan adalah pada perlakuan pengadukan selama 6 menit dengan rata - rata persentase serbuk kayu gergaji 80,930 %, dedak 12,092 %, dan beras jagung 6,975 % dengan kapasitas 150 kg/jam. Selain itu, alat pengaduk media tanam jamur tiram ini membutuhkan daya listrik 0,17 hp dalam pengoperasiannya
