Abstract

Developments in the industrial sector that not only have posistif implications but also have negative implications, such as industrial waste that accumulates every day therefore must be utilized. Utilization of waste from andesite stone processing is one of them as raw materials for brick mixture.The circuit on the sand plate unit consists of a sand wash process using a double deck vibrating screen, vertical shaft impactor, belt conveyor, dewatering screen, hydrocyclone, sand pump while in the sludge treatment process using a flokulant box, decanter tank, slury pump, tank sirculation, and fillter press.The test object in this study was square with a length of 23 cm, a height of 5 cm and a width of 11 cm with a volume of 1,265 cm3. with a ratio composition of 10%, 20%, 30% waste with a strong average press composition of 20% is 6,299 Mpa, composition of 15% with a strong average press 5,771 Mpa, composition of 20% with a strong average press 5,481 Mpa. Bricks were also tested for density, 20% composition had an average density of 20% 1,237, 15% composition had a density of 1,223, 10% composition had an average density of 1.21 and lastly the bricks conducted water absorption test composition 20% has an average water absorption of 16.66%, the composition of 15% has a water absorption of 17.69 %, the composition of 10% has an average water absorption of 17.92% The manufacture of concrete with a mixture of andesite stone treatment waste has met SNI-15-2094-20020, so it can be concluded that sewage sludge of andesite treatment sludge is suitable for use as a mixture of bricks.
