Abstract

PT. Antam (persero)Tbk UBPB Tayan West Kalimantan is one of business unit mining bauxite, currently mining is done in the 7 pit A will using open drainage system serves to prevent incoming water to flow into the mine with the bend sump. According to observation, sump could not hold water due to the large slope of sediments so overflowing to words the land which has not been compromised. This, in need of analyzing the amount of water that goes into the pit. Estimate the slope of sedimets into the sump in the past 1 year and plan the appropriate sump design to accommodate the incoming water. Based the calculation of the obtained amount of water into the pit was 2.115,688 m3/days so that the water will overflow because the volume of the reservoir only accommodate 1.192 m. estimates of sediments that sattles in the planned reservoir pond in one year amount of 1.000,26 m3/year of the sump will experience a reduction volume 13.520 m3 to 12.519,74 m3. So that the income water was 2.149,22 m3/day the length and width of the surface of 62meters, length and width base 54 meters, a depth of 4 meter. With maximum volume capacity of 13.520 m3 which can accommodate the rain for 4 days in a row.
