Abstract

Plant cultivation in hydroponic systems generally uses AB mix nutrients, although the use of these nutrients gives good results, AB mix nutrients are not organic nutrients but nutrients that contain chemicals. This research was conducted to determine the right combination of AB mix and snail liquid organic fertilizer for the growth and production of lettuce plants with the Grand Rapid variety. This research was conducted in Sukarami Village, District Sungai Rotan, City Muara Enim, South Sumatra. The research was conducted in August-October 2021 with coordinates 3°12'00.2”S 104°15'52.5”E. This study was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisted of 5 treatments and 4 replications, each replication consisted of 6 The total number of plants was 120 plants. The treatments of this research were P1= AB mix 100% as control, P2= liquid organic fertilizer of snail 75%+AB Mix 25%, P3= liquid organic fertilizer of snail 50% + AB Mix 50%, P4= liquid organic fertilizer of snail 25% + AB Mix 75% and P5 = 100% snail liquid organic fertilizer. The data was obtained from the Analysed of Variance (Anova). The average of specific results treatments will be continued with the 5% BNJ test. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 1. Treatment P1 (AB mix 100%) gave the best results with plant height (23.35 cm), number of leaves (13.58 strands), fresh weight (144.07 g), dry weight ( 10.98 g), greenish level (21.43), leaf area (124.85) and root length (17.60 cm). 2. Treatments that were given liquid organic fertilizer Snails was poisoned due to the high nutrient content in the snail liquid organic fertilizer and the snail liquid organic fertilizer had not been able to optimize the nutrition of AB mix.
