Abstract
This study aims to describe the use of YouTube social media as a medium of economic learning at Islamic Senior High School Az Zahra Palembang, this research is a descriptive study with a quantitative sample method in this study, namely students of class XI IIS. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews, the results of the study showed that the use of YouTube social media as a medium of economic learning at Islamic Senior High School Az Zahra Palembang was 78.4% in the good category. Of the five indicators, it is known that 81% of potential indicators are in good category, informative indicators are 79% in good category, interactive indicators are 74% in sufficient category, archive indicators are 78% in good category, and collaboration indicators are in 80% good category. A high indicator score illustrates that the use of YouTube social media as an economic learning medium has been able to provide added value in the learning process and increase students' understanding. It is recommended that in the use of YouTube social media, students are given the means to discuss and ask questions so that learning becomes more active.
