Abstract

ARMANDO FILEMON SIREGAR. Effect of Herbicide Exposure on Greenness Consumption Behavior and Residual Concentration in the Blood and Meat of Kacang Goats (Supervised by ARFAN ABRAR, S.Pt., M.Si., PhD.) The goal of this study is to see how pesticide residues in Forage Animal Feed affect goat performance. This study lasted 21 days in the experimental cage lab of Sriwijaya University's Faculty of Agriculture's Department of Animal Technology and Industry's Animal Husbandry Study Program. The research used in this study was descriptive, with four goats divided into two groups: control and treatment. Each group (control and treatment) consisted of two goats, each with an age of two years and a weight of six kilograms, then control goats and treatment goats. were given feed sprayed with hebrisides for seven days of treatment, and it was observed whether they were poisoned or not. During the livestock rearing period, the treated goats were given the herbicide sprayed feed once more, while the control goats were fed without the herbicide glyphosate. Licking, smelling, and chewing were observed for 30 seconds for each treatment in order to observe consumption behavior activities. Observed parameters were cattle consumption behavior, glyphosate content in meat, and glyphosate concentration in blood. The data will then be evaluated using a t test (student t) with a confidence level of 5%. The results of this investigation revealed that peanut goats in both the control and treatment groups consumed the same a mount of peanuts. Meanwhile, the residual concentration of glyphosate herbicide in treated goats' blood was 0.6774 ppm, compared to 0.1785 ppm in control meat, while glyphosate herbicide residue in goat meat was tiny, at 0.428 ppm, and there was no herbicide residue in control goat meat.
