Abstract

Pada penelitian sebelumnya, personality trait conscientiousness diketahui memiliki hubungan negatif dengan job insecurity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran personality trait conscientiousness terhadap job insecurity pada pegawai kontrak di masa pandemi. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah ada peran personality trait conscientiousness terhadap job insecurity pada pegawai kontrak di masa pandemi. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah 106 pegawai kontrak swasta di Indonesia. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik snowball sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua buah skala sebagai alat ukur, yaitu skala personality trait conscientiousness yang mengacu pada aspek-aspek dari Costa dan McCrae(2003) dan skala job inscecurity yang mengacu pada komponen dari Ashford et al. (1989). Hasil data penelitian dianalisis dengan metode regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peran personality trait conscientiousness dengan job insecurity pada pegawai kontrak dengan nilai R = 0,745, R square = 0,555, F = 129,728 , dan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Peran personality trait conscientiousness terhadap job insecurity sebesar 55.5%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa personality trait conscientiousness memiliki peran signifikan terhadap job insecurity. Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang diajukan diterima.
