Abstract

This study aim to findout the effect of pattern and nutritiens on pakcoy production in the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) hydroponic system. This research was carried out from January 2021 to April 2022 at the Plant House of the Agricultural Engineering Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, South Sumatra. The research method used factorial randomized block design (RAKF) with two research factors, namely nutrition (A) as the main plot consisting of two treatment levels (A1 = AB MIX, A2 = POC) and plant pattern (B) consisting of three levels treatment (B1 = 15 cm pattern, B2 = 20 cm pattern, B3 = 25 cm pattern) with each treatment combination repeated three times. The parameters of this study were plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight and plant productivity. The results of this study showed that nutrition and plant pattern had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves and fresh weight of pakcoy plants. The greatest productivity of pakcoy plants at a pattern of 25 cm with AB MIX nutrients was 0.519 kg/m2. While the smallest was at a pattern of 15 cm with a POC nutrient of 0.156 kg/m2.
