Abstract

This study aims to prove whether there is an effect of giving rewards to students learning motivation in economics subjects at Senior High School Islamic Az-Zahra Palembang. The method used in this study is a quantitative research type causal associative research. The population in this study were all students who were actively attending Senior High School Islamic Az-Zahra Palembang. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The sample in this study is class XI IPS Senior High School Islamic Az-Zahra Palembang, totaling 34 students. Data collection techniques using, questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of the study obtained, the data on the provision of rewards is categorized as good with a percentage of 71-85%. While the learning motivation data is categorized as good with a percentage of 71-82%. Based on statistical calculations using the t test, tcount > ttable is 43,825 > 1,697, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving rewards on students' learning motivation in economic subjects at Senior High School Islamic Az-Zahra Palembang.. It is recommended for further researchers to use observation, and it is hoped that prospective educators will try to use rewards to encourage and motivate students to take part in the learning taking place.
