Abstract

The quality of friendship is a relationship that is established due to an emotional pressure of equality of perception and equality of purpose which in the relationship often experiences disputes so that forgiveness is needed. The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the relationship between the quality of friendship and forgiveness in students of the Department of Education FKIP Umiversitas Sriwijaya. The population in this study was students of the class of 2019 with a total of 185 people and the research sample amounted to 126 respondents taken randomly (random sampling technique). Data collection in this study used the instrument Friendship quality scale and forgiveness with the Likert measurement scale. The data analysis technique in this study used the pearson moment formula. The results showed a correlation value (rxy) of 0.898 with a positive coefficient which means that there is a positive relationship between the quality of friendship and forgiveness where the closer the quality of friendship, the higher the ability of a person to forgive (forgiveness) Keywords : Quality of Friendship, Forgiveness, forgiving
