Abstract

This study deals with the cognitive dissonance experienced by college students who refuse the regulation of the ministry of education, culture, research, and technology number 30 year 2021 concerning the prevention and handling sexual violence that occurs in colleges (the regulation of the ministry of education, culture, research, and technology about the prevention and handling sexual violence). The theory used in this study is the cognitive dissonance of Leon Festinger. The data is collected through the questionnaires and processed with the help of SPSS Software Version 26. The result shows the cognitive dissonance of refusal students. The cognitive dissonance is fairly high, because the achievement of each dimension is categorized as high. The highest dimension is the generality opinion. The regulations are needed because as a legal umbrella at the college, it is advisable to continue to listen to the voices of College Citizens and run as intended.
