Abstract
Dynamometer is a measuring device that serves to measure the cutting force on a gurdi machine. Cutting force is one of the very important parameters to obtain optimal bathing results. The purpose of this study is to design and make a dynamometer to measure the amount of axial force (Fz) in conventional gurdi processes. The working principle of this dynamometer is that the load cell that is installed experiences a downward compressive force during the stirring process which results in the strain gauge in the load cell experiencing strain. The load cell is connected to the HX711 amplifier and arduino uno as a place to input the amount of compressive force then output by arduino software as a medium to display the amount of compressive force that occurs in the gurdi process. In this test, it used spindle spindles of 230, 360, 500 and 900 with eating motions of 0.1 and 0.16.Based on the tests that have been carried out that the greater the feeding force, the greater the compressive force (Fz), this can be seen in the test graph in various spindle rotation variations ranging from 230 rpm to 900 rpm. Then it can also be analyzed that the influence of high spindle rotation also affects the length of the machining process needed, The greater the spindle rotation, the less time it takes. This is because the large spindle rotation results in higher compression on the workpiece so that the machining process time is faster.
