Abstract

Soil temperature is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth. Plant growth is influenced by soil temperature and humidity, proper and correct watering of plants is watering according to plant needs because if too much water is poured onto plants it is also not good. Therefore, a device that can water plants automatically was made based on soil moisture and soil temperature. This tool uses several components, namely, soil mouistre sensor, DS18B20 sensor, Arduino Uno, NodeMCU (ESP8266) One channel relay, LM2569S Regulator Module, 12 volt Adapter and Blynk Application. The working system of this tool is if the soil moisture sensor detects soil moisture <= 50 and the DS18B20 sensor detects soil moisture >= 34 then the pump is on (ON) otherwise if the soil moisture sensor detects soil moisture>= 50 and the DS18B20 sensor detects soil temperature <= 34 then the pump is off (OFF). The data from the two sensors can be seen in the Blynk application that has been connected from the device to the Blynk application.
