Abstract

The purpose of this study was to 1) Calculate the potential for utilization of palm oil stick waste in Sukaramai Village. 2 Calculate the income of farmers who utilize waste oil palm sticks in Sukaramai Village. 3) Describe what factors influence farmers to use waste of oil palm sticks in Sukaramai Village. Data collection was carried out from April to completion, with the research method used was the survey method, the data collected in this study were primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by making direct observations or direct observations in the field and conducting direct interviews with sample farmers using a list of questions to be asked (questionnaires) that had been prepared, while secondary data were obtained from sources of reading books, articles, previous articles. research and institutions such as the Central Bureau of Statistics deemed necessary to support this research, with the method of disproportionate stratified random sampling. which represents the population in Sukaramai village, with the conclusion that the potential utilization of palm oil stick waste has an average production of 4,649.26 kilograms/year with an income of Rp. 11,632,150.00 / cultivated area / year and for per hectare / year is Rp. 5 .238,250.00. Meanwhile, the income of farmers by doing oil palm farming is Rp. 98,112,500.00 per arable area per year and per hectare per year is Rp. 44,213,158.44. The income of farmers from utilizing palm oil stick waste is Rp. 11,623,150.00 per arable area per year and per hectare per year is Rp. 5,283,250.00. The total income of oil palm farmers who utilize palm oil stick waste is RP109,735,625.00 per cultivated area per year and per hectare per year is Rp49,472,533.44. The factors that influence oil palm farmers to utilize palm oil stick waste are the number of family dependents, experience farming, selling price, number of neighbors doing it, and input costs. And the factors that do not affect the decision of farmers to use palm oil stick waste are the age of the farmer and the farmer's education. Keywords:Utilization,Income,Research
