Abstract

Skripsi ini melaporkan mengenai arus bocor pada material isolasi Silicone Rubber yang terkontaminasi pengotor ammonia dengan variasi lama pengkondisian 1; 3; 5; 7 hari, dan tanpa pengkondisian. Besar tegangan yang diaplikasikan adalah 220; 500; dan 1000 V. Penelitian ini menggunakan sistem elektroda berupa Aluminium Tape yang direkatkan pada kedua sisi sampel dengan jarak 5 mm, sampel yang digunakan berupa Silicone Rubber Sheets dengan ukuran 50 x 25 mm yang dilakukan pengkondisian didalam chamber pengkondisian dengan ukuran 25 x 25 x 15 cm. Hasil pengujian didapatkan nilai arus bocor tanpa pengkondisian, 1; 3; 5; dan 7 hari pengkondisian pada tegangan 220 V adalah sebesar 37,87; 38,60; 40,02; 42,82; dan 45,20 µA, sama halnya pada tegangan 500; dan 1000 V nilai arus bocornnya semakin meningkat. Lamanya pengkondisian isolasi Silicone Rubber terpapar ammonia akan menyebabkan lapisan kontaminan yang menempel pada permukaan isolasi menjadi lebih tebal sehingga meningkatkan nilai arus bocor melalui permukaan isolasi tersebut, dan semakin besar nilai tegangan yang diaplikasikan pada isolasi yang terkontaminasi ammonia akan menyebabkan penurunan nilai tahanan permukaan isolasi sehingga meningkatkan nilai arus bocornya
