Abstract

Sick Building Syndrome is one of the causes of buildings becoming unfriendly to the environment and greatly affects the health of building users. If there are more than 20% of the total users of the building showing symptoms of headaches, fatigue, nausea, and irritation in the eyes, nose, and throat while inside the building, it can be said to be an unhealthy building. Air temperature plays an important role in the comfort of an environment, one of the comforts referred to is thermal comfort which includes temperature, humidity, and wind speed. The data collection used in this study used primary data and secondary data, primary data included questionnaires, interviews, observations, documentation and measurements, while secondary data were in the form of technical drawings of the building and physical data of the building obtained from the building administrator. Based on the analysis of data that has been obtained according to the Greenship Existing Building Version 1.1 standards on the aspects of room comfort and health, the existing condition of the Palembang Great Mosque building only gets 4 points which means that the Great Mosque of Palembang City has not implemented the criteria for health and comfort of the space properly in accordance with the applicable green building standards in Indonesia. The Great Mosque of Palembang only meets 2 criteria from a total of 9 existing criteria, namely Outdoor Air Introduction, Environmental Tobacco Smoke Control, and No Smoking Campaign as a prerequisite kirteria.
