Abstract

Capital structure is a permanent source of spending that includes debt and equity capital. Meanwhile, the financial structure reflects the consideration of all debts (long-term and short-term) with its own capital. Capital structure consists of internal capital and external capital. In deciding of capital structure, its management’s task and its decision must yield big profit for business. This study aims to examine the effect of Tax Level, Company Size, Company Characteristics and Growth Rate on Capital Structure in Food and Beverage Companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2021 period. The population in this study are all companies in the food and beverage sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, totaling 30 companies for the 2017-2021 period. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, so that the final sample obtained is 21 companies, with the research approach used is quantitative. Research testing using regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the tax rate, company size, company characteristics and growth rate have a significant effect on capital structure.
