Abstract

PT Bumi Merapi Energi is one of private coal mining company with a Production Operation Mining Business Permit Area of 1,851 Ha. In December 2021, the coal production target in Pit of Gunung Agung was 20,768 tons, while the realized was only 12,822.46 tons with a production achievement of 61.70% of the production target targeted by the mine planning work unit. So that there is still a shortage of coal production of 38.30% or around 7,945.54 tons. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the need for loading and hauling equipment to meet coal production targets. In January 2022, the coal production target was 25,120 tons. The coal excavation activity uses 1 unit of Kobelco SK 330 backhoe excavator loading and 3 units of Hino 500 FM 260 JD dump truck loading and hauling equipment. The production capability of loading and hauling equipment was 40,326.42 tons and for transportation equipment was 14,769.38 tons. This means that coal production in January 2022 has not met the production target with a production achievement of 59%. This is due to many factors, cycle time, work efficiency, loading pattern and geometry of the transport road. Recommendations for the need for loading and hauling equipment to meet the coal production target in January - March 2022, namely in January 1 unit of excavators and 4 units of dump trucks with a production achievement of 121%, in February 2 units of excavators and 10 units of dump trucks with a production achievement of 119% were needed and in March 2 units of excavators and 12 units of dump trucks with a production achievement of 120% were needed.
