Abstract

The purpose of this research were to 1) Analyze the coffee farm income in the village of Lubuk In the district of Tanjung Sakti PUMI Lahat regency. 2) Analyze the efficiency of marketing channels and coffee in the village of Lubuk In the district of Tanjung Sakti PUMI Lahat regency. 3) Formulate the development strategies of coffee in the village of Lubuk In the district of Tanjung Sakti PUMI Lahat regency. The research was conducted in October to November 2017 in the village of Lubuk In the district of Tanjung Sakti PUMI Lahat regency, because this village is one of the producers of coffee with the results in the form of dried coffee beans. The method used in this research is survey method and sampling method used is the method of sample random sampling. The data collected consisted of primary and secondary data. The primaries of data was taken from a sample interview by using the list of quisionare. The Secondary Data was collected from the study of literature and the opinions of experts. The results showed that coffee farming income amounted Rp.22.979,164,59 per cultivated area per year (Rp.16.235.439,00 per hectare per year), with a value of R / C ratio and B / C ratio> 1 so farms it can be stated profitable and feasible. Coffee marketing process has only one marketing channel with the end consumer, namely the coffee processing industry. With an efficiency level of 60.64 percent, which means less efficient marketing channels. Based on the SWOT analysis, strategy coffee development formulated a strategy WO (weaknesses-oppurtunities) with a strategy that takes precedence among which increase procurement of agricultural technology by optimizing the help of the government, set up cooperatives and industrial processing of coffee for an aid farmers, and improving educational programs to help farmers received the information of farming and marketing of coffee.
