Abstract

In the tapioca flour industry, 1 ton of raw material used will produce about 10% of the waste in the form of solid waste, namely onggok. These piles are often thrown into the environment so that they have a good impact on the environment. The onggok problem can be overcome by a bioconversion process using black soldier fly (BSF) larvae. Onggok waste in its utilization is not optimal, it may be used as feed for BSF larvae which contain nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats. In addition to the need for nutrients that need to be considered, there are other factors that influence the C/N ratio. The C/N ratio plays an important role as a limiting factor in the successful bioconversion and development of BSF larvae. Information on the need for C/N ratio in cassava waste on its effect in the bioconversion process of BSF larvae is still not available. So that in this study, we will utilize the composition of organic waste such as onggok as the main ingredient as well as the addition of pineapple skin, coconut pulp, the use of Aspergillus niger. This research was conducted from October 2021 to January 2022. The tools used were autoclav, round and square basins, bucket, measuring cup, scissors, hand counter, hygrometer, camera, ruler, moisture meter, tray, pH meter, plastic transparent, rubber gloves. thermometer, analytical balance and kg scale. While the ingredients are aquades, coconut pulp, Aspergillus niger, rice bran, pineapple skin, BSF larvae, cassava, pellets, mineral premix, BSF eggs, and shrimp paste. This research is an experimental study using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments each with 6 repetitions. The observation variables were measuring the physical quality of the media, waste reduction index, efficient conversion of digested feed, frass (g), and survival rate. The results of research that have been carried out on the waste reduction index parameters, efficient conversion of digested feed, frass (g), and survival rates were analyzed using ANOVA, after the analysis showed significant differences to P0, P1, P2 and P3 with each treatment (α ≤ 0,05) so that Duncan's further test was carried out. The WRI values obtained ranged from 1.51% -5.55%, the ECD values obtained ranged from 4,35 % - 7,93 %, the frass obtained ranged from 170.00 g - 333.33 g, and the obtained SR values ranged from 64.13% - 97.47% and the C/N ratio obtained in this study ranged from 27:1-39:1.
