Abstract

This thesis about "Evaluation of Environmental Conservation Measures of Ex-Red Land Mining in Suka Pindah Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency". The existence of red soil mining on community plantation lands makes them take environmental conservation actions in order to reduce crisis land and can restore the income of the 'Suka Pindah village' community. The purpose of this thesis is to explain the process, outcome and impact of Environmental Conservation Action. This thesis was using a qualitative method with an evaluation approach and the data collection techniques was using observation, interviews and documentation. The evaluation concept used in this thesis proposed by Daniel L. Stufflebeam (1968) which called Context evaluation, Input evaluation, Process evaluation and Product evaluation (CIPP). The results explain that there are environmental conservation actions with replanting ex-mining land and there are community actions to repair the damaged environment. and that means almost all of the land has been conserved. The impacts resulting from environmental conservation actions are; increase people's income, return the green open land and make the air fresh. Besides that, the habit of replanting ex-mining land becomes a supporting factor for environmental conservation actions that continue to occur. Keywords: Conservation Action, Evaluation, Ex-Mining
