Abstract

Seaweed is one of the aquaculture commodities with important economic value and has been widely cultivated in Indonesia. Cultivation of seaweed is very dependent on the right cultivation technique and with the appropriate cultivation method. This research aims to analyze the comparison of the effectiveness of Gelidium sp. seaweed cultivation with the Floating Net Cage method and Rombong method. This research was conducted from December 2021 to January 2022. The data obtained were analyzed using non-parametric statistics Kruskal Wallis. The results showed the highest average daily growth rate was 0.61% in the Rombong method and the lowest was 0.5% in the Floating Net Cage method. The results showed that the highest absolute growth rate was 48 grams in the Rombong method and the lowest was 9 grams in the floating net cage method. The most effective seaweed cultivation method for the Ketapang waters of South Lampung, Lampung is the Rombong method
