Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to measure the role of farmer groups on the production and income of rice farming in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency. (2) Calculating farmers' income from the results of rice farming who are members of farmer groups in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency. (3) Analyzing the relationship between the role of farmer groups on the production and income of rice farming in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency. This research was conducted in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency in June 2022. The research method used was survey method and quota sampling method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study are (1) The role of farmer groups as learning classes, vehicles for cooperation and production units in rice farming in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency gets an average score of 36.80% with high or very good criteria. (2) The average income of rice farmers in Arisan Musi Timur Village, Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency is IDR 17,741,198 IDR / ha / mt. (3) there is a significant relationship between the role of farmer groups on production and income with a correlation coefficient of 0.603 for production and 0.765 for income, which means it has a unidirectional relationship and is classified as high. if the higher the correlation coefficient, the closer the relationship or the stronger.
