This study is descriptive and is carried out by collecting quantitative data to support the information and facts. The population and sample in this study were pregnant women who gave birth by Caesarean section in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology RSMH Palembang from 1 January 2010-31 December 2010. The results showed that the number of mothers who gave birth by Caesarean section in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology RSMH Palembang from January 1, 2010 - December 31, 2010 were 752 people from a total of 2729 mothers who gave birth. Mothers who gave birth to the fetus who had the indication of malpresentation totaled up to 183 people. Cases of Caesarean section among women aged 20-35 years are the highest, which summed up to 149 cases (81.4%). Caesarean section deliveries are most commonly found in multiparous, namely women with a parity of 2-4 were as many as 95 cases (51.9%). The location of malpresentation fetal breech is most commonly found in mothers who gave birth contribute to 90 cases (49.2%). History of previous Caesarean section deliveries have lesser influence on the subsequent labor because in this study, it is discovered that women without a history of previous Caesarean section deliveries amounted to 166 cases (90.7%). Caesarean section delivery is mostly done at gestational age of 37-42 weeks (at term), ie 140 cases (76.5%). There are 103 cases that were affected by this medical indication. Mothers going through the implications are based on the characteristics of mothers Caesarean section are case of mothers who, first experienced high blood pressure which contributes 42 cases (23.0%), second, cases of mothers who are anemic are 17 people (9.3%), third those who experienced lot of bleeding are 11 people (6.0%), and the fourth are those who have narrow pelvis are 4 people (2.2%). So it can be concluded based on the characteristics of mothers that many Caesarean sections are performed on patients aged 20-35 years.
