Abstract

Prevalensi hipertensi adalah besarnya angka kejadian hipertensi dalam suatu populasi tertentu yang mempunyai beberapa faktor resiko. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui angka prevalensi hipertensi hipertensi di Kelurahan 29 Ilir Kotamadya Palembang dan mencari hubungan hipertensi dengan beberapa faktor resiko yaitu umur, jenis kelamin, pekerjaan, status gizi, kebiasaan merokok, jumlah rokok perhari, lamanya merokok, dan faktor genetik. Penelitian ini adalah studi cross sectional yang bersifat deskriptif dalam mencari prevalensi hipertensi dan bersifat analitik dalam pengukuran faktor resiko, dengan jumlah sampel 316 orang yang diperoleh secara random dengan memakai program PCQNG 2000. Hasil yang didapat memperlihatkan bahwa angka prevalensi hipertensi di Kelurahan 29 Ilir Kotamadya Palembang sebesar 10,44%. Umur merupakan faktor resiko yang signifikan terhadap kejadian hipertensi dimana umur 60-64 tahun dan di atas 75 tahun mempunyai resiko tinggi untuk menderita hipertensi. Sedangkan faktor-faktor resiko lainnya mempunyai peluang yang sama terhadap kejadian hipertensi. Dari hasi penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa angka prevalensi hipertensi untuk Kelurahan 29 Ilir Kotamadya Palembang hanya dipengaruhi oleh umur. Penulis berharap agar kejadian hipertensi dapat diminimalisir untuk mencegah terjadinya komplikasi.
